Louise and Jessica

You don't expect to make actual friends in a postnatal ward, but that's exactly where I met my gorgeous friend Louise, when our baby girls were just days old. 15 months on and she is one of my most trusted mum confidants, and our tiny babies aren't really babies anymore.

I was thrilled when Louise asked me to photograph her and her beautiful girl Jessica. I just love these two...

All the love...

At the beginning of May I spent a wonderful Sunday morning photographing Katja, Caio and their gorgeous daughter Carlota in their beautiful London home.

I loved this little family. And I love my job...

Babies babies babies...

I love babies. I really love them.

After realising that my portfolio was maybe a little one-sided (ie. made up entirely of my own daughter) I put a call out to some local parents asking if I could photograph their little ones. The response was overwhelming and I have subsequently spent the last two months meeting some amazing mums and dads, and their gorgeous babes.

From teeny tiny new borns to some larger than life four year olds, it's been a really lovely couple of weeks...

Trisha and Ade

I love a winter wedding. Everyone is starting to feel festive and the lack of weather worry always makes things feel pretty relaxed. I definitely would've gone for one myself had I not been getting married in Wales where it almost definitely would've been -10.

Trisha and Ade's wedding took place in early December at the gorgeous Orchardleigh Estate, a sprawling country venue in the heart of Somerset. It was the most beautiful winters day - clear, crisp and sunny - and despite the chilly temperature, the bride and groom very kindly (or politely?!) went along with my suggestions of some shots outside.

But with a breathtaking view and perfect afternoon light, I think it was worth it...
