Winter

Laura and Mark

My final wedding of 2017 took me to the gorgeous Bingham Hotel on the banks of the Thames in Richmond, for my beautiful friend Laura.

Laura wore an incredible bespoke Jesus Peiro dress from the brilliant Miss Bush (I also wore a Jesus Peiro dress from none other than Miss Bush, so I'm slightly biased...!) And not forgetting their beautiful daughter Evie, who was undoubtedly the star of the show.

The Bingham is a stunning location, and Laura and Mark were extremely relaxed, so it was always going to be a lovely day. Coupled with some gorgeous December sunshine, it really was the perfect way to round off my year.

"OMG you are bloody amazing! Love love love! Thank you SO much!"

Laura and Chris

Every wedding I photograph is extremely special and I'm usually a bit misty-eyed a least five times throughout the day. However there's something a tiny bit extra special about photographing the wedding of a friend...

Laura and I have been friends for years so I was really honoured when she asked me to photograph her big day. She and Chris held their wedding at the stunning Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green, and the whole day was effortlessly stylish, super relaxed and really good fun.

And Laura's incredible backless Sarah Seven gown was the star of the show.

"We LOVE the photos! We are so pleased with them, thank you so much!"

Hannah and Simon

Where do I start with these guys? They're so lovely and gorgeous, you should hate them. But they're SO LOVELY!

Their super relaxed wedding took place at the gorgeous Upwaltham Barns near Goodwood and we were blessed with a cold but bright December day. Hannah was an absolute trooper when I took her and Simon off for some outdoor portraits, but the dusky winter light was so beautiful that we just had to (and it was definitely worth it in the end!)

It was such a lovely day from start to finish, but the absolute highlight was the genius idea of a ceilidh. I have never laughed so much whilst shooting a dance floor and I was desperate to join in as everyone was clearly having the BEST time! So a top tip - if you want to guarantee an epic party, have a ceilidh...

"OMG these photos are amazing! Thank you so much, we love them."

Trisha and Ade

I love a winter wedding. Everyone is starting to feel festive and the lack of weather worry always makes things feel pretty relaxed. I definitely would've gone for one myself had I not been getting married in Wales where it almost definitely would've been -10.

Trisha and Ade's wedding took place in early December at the gorgeous Orchardleigh Estate, a sprawling country venue in the heart of Somerset. It was the most beautiful winters day - clear, crisp and sunny - and despite the chilly temperature, the bride and groom very kindly (or politely?!) went along with my suggestions of some shots outside.

But with a breathtaking view and perfect afternoon light, I think it was worth it...

"They're beautiful, thank you so much."
